This Week at the Grey Lodge

Monday: Beer and Cheese Week 4 Catch-up: The ice storm kept many folks at home last night. Probably wisely. If you missed last night's Beer and Cheese Odyssey selection, no worries. You have a chance to catch up. Week 4's pairing is combo is Seven Sisters and Narragansett Coffee Milk Stout.

Taco Tuesday: Tuesday is Taco Tuesday from 5pm to midnight. Our kitchen krew comes up with three different tacos every week. Tacos are 3 for $8, mix and match as you like. The current week's selections are updated here every Tuesday afternoon.

Quizzo: Wednesday we have Quizzo at 8pm. This week's Quizmaster is Chris Fish, who will have a Philadelphia Quizzo. As usual Quizzo will be on our 2nd floor.

Weekend Brunch: Saturday and Sunday, we serve Brunch from 10am to 3pm. In addition to our regular brunch menu, Big Dan has a brunch special every weekend. Our regular menu is available too. This weekend's brunch special is Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Pancakes.

Sunday Night Special: Beer and Cheese Pairing. It's week five of our week 169 week Beer and Cheese Odyssey. For 169 weeks, we will feature one of the 169 cheeses profiled in Di Bruno Bros. House of Cheese: A Guide to Wedges, Recipes, and Pairings by Tenaya Darlington. This week's pairing will be Berkswell, an unpasteurised sheep cheese from England, and Andechs Dunkel Weisse.

Draft Beer Update

On our black beer line, Conshohocken Belgian Stout replaced Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout. I haven't tried this one yet, but I'm very excited by it. Like all good Belgian stouts this one has notes of chocolate and coffee and raisins and figs and what not, but unlike many Belgian stouts, this one does it with 1/2 the usual alcohol and calories. ABV is 5.3%.

Do Good United Ale (quarter) replaced Cape May King Porter Stomp. Do Good is a nanobrewery in Port Richmond. Unity is a very tasty and interesting blood orange cream ale. I recommend.
