Tonight: Philly Tech Week Quizzo
The Grey Lodge has been always been a bit techy, or at least geeky. We have had a Website since the day we became the Grey Lodge almost 15 years ago. It may have been the first bar Website (Google didn't exist and Yahoo didn't spit out any results to my recollection). Yahoo manually indexed their seach engine back then; I still remember when they decided our Website, then at www.voicenet.com/~scoats (we couldn't afford to own and host greylodge.com yet), was worthy of being included. It was indeed a different time.

We are still techy; apparently today is our third anniversary on Twitter. While we still code most of our Website by hand using a text editor, we also have integrated cloud computing with public Google calendars, Google docs, blogging, and RSS.

This week, all week, is the first Philly Tech Week, and we are participating by hosting a Tech Quizzo. Trivia on the gadgets, games and technologies of the day and all the fun stuff they replaced. We asked our our geekiest Quizmaster, Quizmaster Chris3, to host this one.


Draft Beer Update
Great Lakes Doppelrock replaced Long Trail Double IPA. Doppelrock, I guess this one rocks twice. This doppelbock is a little late to be on for Lent, but better late than never, hopefully. Great Lakes is the great Cleveland brewery that come into Philly late year. Most of the beer we've gotten from them so far has been great; one was merely very good, so my expectations are high for this one. Cleveland is where the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is, hence the Rock part. I will be drinking one of these during Philly Tech Week Quizzo. OK maybe two or three.
