Funky First Friday After Work Party
Tonight (in about an hour), we kick off our first First Friday After Work Party. (No foolin). The first Friday of every month will be funky at The Grey Lodge. Constants will be fun funky music by The Hop Angels and a special beer on tap.

Ditch your tie or high heals and start the weekend with us.

The Hop Angels are a band of rotating musicians, so the sound and songs will vary a little each month.

The April Funky First Friday beers are sixtels of Allagash Grand Cru and Ommegang Cup O Kyndnes.

As usual, no cover!

Draft Beer Update
Just in time for tonight's Funky First Friday, a sixtel of Ommegang Cup O Kyndnes replaced Rogue Chipotle. Cup O is a Scotch Ale from a Belgian brewery in the USA. I suspect that will be a mash-up that really works.

Due a little miscommunication, Dock Street Prince Myshkin Imperial Stout had to be untapped to make way for the other Funky First Friday beer, a sixtel of Allagash Grand Cru, which is Allagash's very limited winter seasonal. Grand Cru doesn't refer to a specific style; it pretty much translates as "our best beer". For Allagash, "our best beer" sets a really high bar. I can't wait to try some.

Ommegang Hennepin replaced Sam Adams Rustic Saison. We haven't had Hennepin on tap in a while, though I can't think why as it usually flies out of here when we do.

Sly Fox Royal Weisse replaced Ithaca Apricot Wheat. Sly Fox Royal Weisse is another really great beer that we don't seem to get on tap too often. At least I know why; with so many different great seasonal beers from Sly Fox, there usually isn't any room for Royal. Today, there's room. Will there be tomorrow? Maybe. Sunday? Probably not.

Twin Lakes Greenville Pale Ale replaced Great Divide Titan IPA. Twin Lakes Greenville Pale Ale is a traditional American style Pale Ale that uses whole flower cascade hops.
