It's a Lenten Friday. We still have a few Veggie and Fish Pot Pies left, both of which are meat free. Plus our usual Fish Tacos, Mussels, Cajun Fish Sandwich, and a couple of things I'm forgetting.
Draft Beer Update
We had some pouring issues with the sixtel of Yards Bourbon Barrel, so we had to untap it. Returning is Philadelphia Kilty Pleasure. Kilty is a dangerously drinkable 10% Scotch Ale.
Founders Centennial IPA replaced Heavy Seas Black Cannon. Founders Centennial is a great IPA that is also nicely priced. If after Black Cannon you are still Jonesing for some black IPA, we have two more coming up. Centennial was one of the first Founders to come out this way, and was a basis for Founders as a brewery that can do no wrong.
Russian River Damnation replaced Dock Street ABT 10. Damnation is a Belgian strong ale style beer, along the lines of Duvel. We drank a couple of very fresh Duvels on the train between Amsterdam and Brussels. I'm looking forward to seeing how Damnation compares.
Brooklyn Irish Stout replaced Twin Lakes Black and Tan. Brooklyn Irish Stout is the first of three beers we will tapping for St. Patrick's Day, which is tomorrow. If all goes as planned Sly Fox Seamus and Great Lakes Conways will get tapped sometime today. Both of those two beers are US versions of an Irish red ale. Both are great. Brooklyn's Irish Stout is a US version of an Irish dry stout.
Replacing Woodchuck Oak Aged Cider is Dogfish Head Tweason'Ale. Since Tweason'Ale is a gluten free beer, we are trying to run it on our cider line, which has only had gluten free cider on it. The first few pours haven't been pretty so we may have to untap Tweason and move it onto a regular line when something opens up.
