What a fine St. Patrick's Day. Just the right temp to break out your old AOH/ LOAH sweater. (They are nice sweaters; you don't have to be Irish to own one). We have the front window open, so why not stop in for a jar or two? It may put a change in your demeanor. Besides Irish style beer, we have Connemara, Red Breast, plus many other Irish whiskeys.

Draft Beer Update

We tried but Dogfish Head Tweason'Ale didn't work on the cider line (which has always been gluten free). Tweason'Ale will get retapped ASAP, hopefully when Damnation kicks. While Tweason'Ale is gluten free, since we have to run it on a line that has poured regular gluteous beer for 7 years (though thoroughly cleaned weekly), we don't recommend it for those suffering from celiac. If anyone wants us to get celiac-safe bottles of Tweason'ale, please email me (scoats@greylodge.com).

Full Pint White Lightning replaced Stoudts Gold. Full Pint is a relatively new brewery out of Pittsburgh. White Lightning is their Belgian style wit beer.

Sixpoint Spice of Life IPA - Citra replaced Founders Centennial IPA. Spice of Life is Sixpoint's series of single hopped IPAs. I believe this is the third one we have tapped. The nice thing about single hopped beers is you get to discover the different flavors each hop has. There seem to be a ballizion types of hops these days so I never remember how one differs from another (but I'm not a brewer). These single-hopped beers provide a nice refresher even to those of us who taste a lot of different beers.

As mentioned above, it's St. Patrick's Day, so besides Brooklyn Irish Stout on tap we have two US made Irish style amber ales. The US versions of this style are among my favorite beers. We have two great takes on this style.

Great Lakes Conways Irish Ale replaced Yards Entire Porter.

And Sly Fox Seamus Irish Red replaced Philadelphia Kenzinger.

4pm Update: Dogfish Head Aprihop replaced itself. And we still have another Aprihop left to tap.
